Sep. 22nd, 2004 11:44 amToday would have been a good day to stay home from work: I woke up feeling much better than yesterday, and was ready to clean the house, do laundry, and cook all day. Hmm. Why am I at work?
I attribute feeling a bit more myself to Catherine, and to getting more sleep than usual. Anya slept in the kitchen, I slept with my earplugs on, and that did the trick.
I went to the farmer's market this morning, and was temped by all kinds of things. However, I still have apples, peaches, and raspberries that haven't yet been pied, so I didn't get any more raspberries. Nor did I get kale, chard, basil, or any other of the luscious greens at many of the tables. And I was sorely tempted by the winter squash. The first thing to do is to cook what I've got, then to plan something before going so crazy at the market. I just love the way the summer and winter squash look. Eating is secondary.
Last night I started a book. Wow, did that feel good. I highly recommend reading, for those of you confused about what's important in life. (; Reading and sleeping are more important than bathing, sometimes.
