Announcement results
Jun. 11th, 2007 08:47 pmSunday was a big day for me: it was new member welcome day at my church, at which I was recognized (among others). I also announced that I was staying in Cincinnati, and the amount of cheering and clapping was gratifying. I've been asked to serve on another committee, and this one I accepted without reservation.
It was Pride weekend in Cinci, and I marched in the parade with my church on Sunday. That was really fun. I flirted with people in the "crowds."
Today I resigned from my job, effective next week Friday. I am making sure to say that it's because of the opportunity to move forward with my future goals, that the interview came out of the blue (if the question seems to be hanging there), and that I have been very happy working with whomever I am telling. I told my boss that his mentoring made it possible, which I believe to be 100% true (and that sux for him).
And now I've promised myself a digital camera when I take the GRE, so I'd better get to scheduling and studying more. I've slacked off these past ... weeks. And I want that camera.
