I am alone in Cincinnati
Dec. 18th, 2006 11:17 pmand yet, I'm not. Whatever I am, everything is okay.
I have all my things back from L's house. I've still got the best of everything I can have down here. And even though September (and parts of October) are always awful for me, it's almost Solstice and I'm doing better. Things are pretty darn good in my life, especially considering that I'm in Cincinnati, the girlfriend I moved here to be with dumped me over email, and I'm peri-menopausal at age 41.
I'm planning a birthday party with my new friends for Wednesday. And somehow they, together with the church community, are filling my current Stilyagi social vacancy (except that in the church, I'm really young). I'm still employed, and I still have renters, and I'm still cancer-free.
(It's not a mantra - I just keep being surprised that I have such wonderful things in my life. I don't like Cincinnati, but there are things about my life here that are nice, and make me happy, and that keeps surprising me.)
