It "snowed"

There was a dusting today. Now I've seen what everyone's been telling me. I walked to work, having been warned, but it was really bad for some people. It took some people more than two hours to travel the normal 45 minute drives they take. I heard people talking about turning their cars off on the highway to conserve gas as they waited for traffic to move.

While salt was available, and trucks were available, when the snow started falling, none had been deployed. People got into accidents at most major highway intersections (they do on clear days, and this was worse) and people here don't go around them easily.

And the temperature was just above freezing.

Yes, this was for under an inch of snow. Now I know the downside of living where fall ends in December.

You know, I think it's mainly cincinnati / central midwestern drivers. Or maybe just Cincinnati. Fall ends in December in D.C. as well, and people drive normally there.
