I've done a lot of regular things, lately. I've used the broiler for the first time. I cooked two meals for L and I in my new kitchen, and we ate them at the dining room table (I admit that leftovers were eaten in the living room).
L and I have found that we can meet half-way between our places at our favorite park, which is my favorite place to run. (It has good running trails and for now is flat enough for me to get going again. I'm back to a 9-minute mile due to 8 weeks of running only once a week.) This is a very good plan for after work, when the commute for 18 miles can be 45 minutes.
I have found better places to shop, and L has tried and, more importantly, liked Thai food. "Better places" means a better part of the city. And there's shopping for more Hiller's/Whole Foods-like stuff.
I still really like my job. Looking for a new place that suits me better, and a position more suited to my personality, was the best thing I ever did for myself.
And then I took KitKit to the new vet today. His lump on his spine seems to be getting bigger. She took a look, we discussed whether to do x-rays, aspiration, or a biopsy, and went with the first two options. To me, the x-rays ruled out cancer. However, the aspiration was scarier than I had thought - the cells appear to be black. Why are black cells pooling on his spine just below his scapula? Lab results Friday. Black? Old blood? Something else?
He's sleeping again. Lots of V-drug for the big man. He was very brave today.
