Cleaning house

talyenI'm having a great weekend, oddly enough, being amazingly efficient in house-cleaning. Not just the vacuuming, either: re-arranging the basement, getting rid of clothes I don't like, re-arranging my closet, putting stuff into the attic.
L is gone this weekend, visiting her dad and sister. Next weekend, a visit! Sure, I'm trying to give a really good impression of how clean and tidy I am. And she's been here before, and didn't care. And I know how much that my tidiness does not matter to her at all. Still, it will be nice to have a clean house when we're here.
I still have some gardening to do around my house: I'll be busybusybusy for the next few weekends, and it appears it's time to start winterizing. Sure, it's nearly 80 degrees today, but ... by the time I have a weekend where I'll want to do all this stuff, we'll be in snow season.
And, while this isn't a way to keep me from thinking about surgery on Monday, it is effective for that, as well. My list of to-dos for today has more than enough things on it that I most likely won't finish them today. And that's fine. (:
There's a 6-foot bookcase (Sauder, 5-shelf) in my front yard, in case anyone knows anyone who's looking for that kind of thing.
