Purging

Now there's a word for you: purging. Connotation of release and relief as self and items are separated. I can tell you, there is very little of that. However, I did feel pretty good about convincing at least one child that donating some of the older yet complete toys to the day care would be a win-win for everyone. I also felt sad that there will be no future in which I can say to potential grandchildren, "Your parent played with this toy as a child." I guess that's something I just need to get over.
