Transferring Foster Agencies

In the 9 days since I found out that the county will no longer be in the foster care business, and all of us foster care families have to transfer to new agencies to get kids, I've been scrambling (with more than 238 other families) to find out about the 30 agencies that already have contracts with the county to see which ones will meet my needs, and if one or two stand out.
Until I change over, the county won't be placing a foster kid in my house. Wow.
I did get a referral for an adoption placement again. If I say yes, I again go up against all the other families in the match committee. May as well keep my hand in, and he sounds like a great little guy.
Meanwhile ... no foster care license, exactly. I mean, I have one, but without transferring it to another agency, no foster placements, which include foster-to-adopt placements.
It's feeling a lot like a dice roll, my friends.

I am definitely closer to narrowing my choices for an agency now.
