Easy day today, just the 9 hours plus a voice lesson.
I blew out my voice a week ago, being in the command center for go-live, and I've continued to abuse it by talking to much and too loudly in a room with 40 other people for 9 - 12 hours/day. My voice lesson was a bust today, but at least I learned what I'd done.
The next series of concerts is this Sunday through Wednesday, and I've decided to sing in them. I don't have a singing voice right now, not more than anyone with a "sing in the shower voice" anyway. Rats.
Lots of water, and as little talking as possible right now, as quietly as possible, and lots of sleep. Riiiight. But I'm setting my mind to it.

Date: 2008-07-11 11:16 am (UTC)She said to talk in my normal speaking voice, the one that I use with inflection, but to speak very quietly and not very much.
And to sleep and drink lots of water. Thanks for the advice!
