Weekly? update
Jun. 18th, 2008 10:27 pmI'm working 12-hour days in preparation for my project's Go-Live, when I will potentially work 24/7 for 11 days. Right now, I'm setting up to avoid issues that would make working that amount of time painful.
MUSE had our Spring Concert, in which I had a solo and my aunt and uncle visited and heard me sing for the first time in my life. It was awesome. I am soooo glad we're done for most of the season, except for our trip to Miami for GALA. I cried once during our 3pm and twice during our 8pm concert. GALA is going to be spectacular and I have the best roommates in choir.
I"ve gotten to drive lots of different BMW models while mine has visited the shop. Mine was doing something weird, and has now lost a functionality that the shop tells me it could never have had. Um. So they have my car until they figure out how to make it work, and I'm putting miles on their loaners. Not that I'm going anywhere except work, rehearsal, lessons, performances, and sleep.
MK and I just put in our community garden. Very exciting and cool. We have a bunch of herbs and a wide variety of cool things because she is awesome. The garden is run by the Zoo, and they've irrigated it and put together raised beds and planted around it to make it look nice even though it's in a rougher part of the city. We're excited and hopeful still.
It might be silly for me to be looking for a house since I'm home an hour in the mornings and half an hour at night. Good thing I haven't found anything that rocks my boat yet.
I wonder what it would be like to have the kind of life where you go to work, come home and have a partner, and watch tv or something. I wonder what it would be like to come home from work ...
