Sci-Fi | Floods | Sick
Mar. 20th, 2008 09:55 pmSo I don't write much anymore ...
I went to Millenicon last weekend. I spent all my time between kids' programming, gaming, and a room party that had Rock Band. (Okay, I did go to all the room parties, I SMOF'd a ton, and I was on a panel. But that's it!)
It has been raining for a week, I think. Today was the first dry day. I hydroplane to work. The rivers have all flooded, even the Ohio. Quite the contrast with last year, when we were already in a drought. I miss the sun, big-time.
I was chased in my car on my way home from the con Saturday, and I ended up slightly damaging it after they finally got past me while trying to turn around and get away. No, I can't describe the vehicle, since they spent so much time on my bumper, it was nearly 2 in the AM, and I was at first sleepy and then wired on adrenaline. Suffice to say it's not the first time I've been chased, just the first time in many years.
And now I have laryngitis, probably from hangin' with the minors at the con. I have a fever of 100.0 right now, too. Woo-hoo! I can whisper, which is awesome. I feel like calling friends and leaving VMs from my ghost.

Date: 2008-03-22 08:22 pm (UTC)I went to the doc yesterday because the fever was scary (went up to 101.1) and he says I have bronchitis. And he never gives antibiotics, but he gave me a script that I can fill if I don't start getting better. I can make sound now for a second or two.
The guy downstairs has Rock Band. He's been playing it a lot. Now I know how annoying we were to the other hotel guests! But it's such a cool game. He's got different songs loaded than we were playing, so I guess there are lots.
When the weather gets good, and the kids aren't sick, we can visit again. It will be fun to have more fun together.
