Still crazy

talyenI'm still thinking about the car, in the middle of the other things I'm doing.
I'm making a friend at choir who is a lot like me, and that's something I've needed down here. She's funny and she listens well and we get each other when we talk about stuff so far. Early in the friendship, but that's 'way better than my situation two weeks ago, so yay!
I went out driving (in the convertible last weekend) with someone whom I think was wanting to get to know me better. I've gotten to know her better enough to know that we'll be nice choir friends, but we will never 'click.' And that's great with me, she might be a good friend to just hang out with sometimes, but not too much.

dagibbs, as he said, and that was great! Nice to see someone who knows me and eats the same food and knows my friends and isn't weirded out by the things in my life. You're great, dagibbs.
Also got to spend about 45 minutes with my cousin that day, because I also got to the restaurant early, didn't know he was there, and so I skipped on over to her apartment. She's so great. We might go up together to her mom's for Thanksgiving day, but there won't be a big meal and we both have to work on Friday. It'll be perfect.
Voice lessons started up again with a wonderful new instructor, and I'm improving. I wish you all could hear me sing, but heck, you never heard me before, and it's not like I'm getting any solos yet anyway. Still, I have hopes that someday, you'll hear me roar, err, sing well.
This Tuesday I'll drive a BMW with an SMG transmission to see if that's an option I'd prefer or at least tolerate on a car I want. Also, my car will be in the shop for warrantee paint repair. Once both are complete, my car goes for sale and I start buying the BMW of my dreams, either here or possibly in Buffalo (or CA, but heck, is it worth the flight to 'save' $2K and get the extra options?). The dealership here has been marvelous, and the car here is great, too, just slightly overpriced, and out of warranty.
This weekend I'll be getting together with choir for 13 hours of rehearsing. Woo-hoo! Bonding time, too, which is greatly appreciated and wonderful. I might sometimes chafe at being a 2nd soprano instead of a first in that choir, but ... We're number 2! And we're a great big section of love and pride. I'm bringing single-source chocolates I bought when last at Zingerman's to share.
