New blinds and other household chores
Oct. 11th, 2004 02:59 pmI had to order new blinds for the big windows into the back yard. After four years of KitKit gnawing on the cords, one was so frayed that they no longer went up and down. I was secretly pleased that I had to finally replace them since for the past three years Kurzon has been catching his claws in their cloth while chasing leaf shadows and other ghosts.
The new ones are very clean, have no rips, and are cordless, a necessary luxury since I have gone nearly four years without the ability to completely lower the right-hand set. KitKit loves to clean his teeth by cutting any type of cord. I put them up last night, and I am quite pleased.
I charged the Dremel tool while charging the drill, and for the first time ever, filed Anya's nails rather than clipping them. She was very good, better than when she is clipped, at least this time. And her nails are now very quiet. Yay!
Last night was "wake Mommy up while getting onto the bed" night. KitKit, Kurzon, and Anya all practiced it. Yes, Anya slept on the bed, and for the second night in a row. It was actually quieter than puttng her in the kitchen, since she is still whining all night long. And last night (no, really, Catherine, it's true!) she didn't lick her chops all night, because I increased her medicine and her allergies were better. However, she did walk on my legs and lick my face at 2am when she got up onto the bed. As did KitKit later, and he somehow also manages to flick a whisker up my nose when he does that. Kurzy simply jumped onto my chest from the bedframe before settling onto my legs. Later, the tussle between him and KitKit ended abruptly when I moved them both off the bed with my legs.
I am considering sleeping in the closet.
