Coney Island

A lovely day at Coney Island today. "A," who is 6 years old, started out the day almost-but-not-quite napping in the car, and so was not her normal, sunny self. And she was really scared on the first ride she chose. Other times during the day were more melt-down-inous than usual, too.

But: we rode rides. We only saw one show. We went in the big water park and played, and she went down the slide twice (I even went down it once). We had fun food (okay, fries and ice cream). We went on the ferris wheel for my first time ever. And at the end she was really brave and went on a fairly scary ride and yelled "Whee" the entire time.

I am so glad that avjewe and RA and A were willing to come with me. They made it a great day.
