Fat Tuesday
Feb. 8th, 2005 09:44 amLast night after drum class we celebrated the Imbolc, Candlemas, and the Chinese New Year. Funny how they are all calculated to coincide with shrove tuesday, isn't it? My co-worker brought puczkis today.
It was good to have another reason to celebrate the return of light, even though, for me, the real celebration is in December. Still, it is true that now is when the change is very noticeable: the daylight lasts until past 6pm here, and there are more birds doing birdly things nearby than there were even three weeks ago.
It is good to celebrate these things, and to notice and rejoice for whatever reasons we have.
